ISO 6780 footprints

ISO 6780:2003 (confirmed in 2014) sanctions six pallet sizes. Floor loss is the share of an ISO container floor a single-size load leaves empty.

  • Safe working load is the manufacturer’s figure for a pallet evenly loaded on a flat floor. Racking and forklift handling lower it.
  • EUR 2 is often quoted with a 1,470 kg load (for example in the Wikipedia EUR table). EPAL’s own product sheet gives 1,250 kg; we show EPAL’s figure.
  • See Container Types for the inside width of each box before you plan a pallet pattern.
