About TransContainer
Russia’s largest rail container operator, spun out of Russian Railways in 2006 and now controlled by Delo Group after a 2019-2020 buyout. TransContainer moves over a million TEU a year across Russia’s rail network, the country’s main intermodal box operator.
Main trade areas: Intra-Asia and Global.
How to track a TransContainer container
Every TransContainer box carries an ISO 6346 number: four letters (the owner prefix), six digits and a check digit. Enter the container number, the bill of lading or the booking reference and Navo24 detects which one it is.
The tracker joins TransContainer's own events (gate out, loaded, departed, transhipped, discharged) with the vessel's AIS position, so you see where the box is now, not where it was at the last port call.
TransContainer schedules, rates and free time
Before booking, compare sailings on your lane by transit time and real on-time reliability across all carriers, TransContainer included where it publishes schedules.
For the price, FreightRatesMCP shows market rates for 20GP, 40GP and 40HC on a port pair. After arrival, demurrage and detention start once TransContainer's free time runs out, and Navo24 counts the days left on every box.
