About MacAndrews
Iberian and intra-European short-sea specialist founded 1770 in Scotland, acquired by France’s CMA CGM in 2002 and later folded into its Containerships brand. One of Europe’s oldest shipping names; nearly 250 years old when CMA CGM retired the brand.
Main trade areas: North Europe, Mediterranean and West Africa.
MacAndrews no longer trades under its own name. CMA CGM bought the line in 2002, and since 1 April 2019 its intra-European services have run under the Containerships brand.
How to track a MacAndrews container
Every MacAndrews box carries an ISO 6346 number: four letters (the owner prefix), six digits and a check digit. Enter the container number, the bill of lading or the booking reference and Navo24 detects which one it is.
The tracker joins MacAndrews's own events (gate out, loaded, departed, transhipped, discharged) with the vessel's AIS position, so you see where the box is now, not where it was at the last port call.
MacAndrews schedules, rates and free time
Before booking, compare sailings on your lane by transit time and real on-time reliability across all carriers, MacAndrews included where it publishes schedules.
For the price, FreightRatesMCP shows market rates for 20GP, 40GP and 40HC on a port pair. After arrival, demurrage and detention start once MacAndrews's free time runs out, and Navo24 counts the days left on every box.
