About Containerships
Finnish intra-European short-sea container operator founded 1966, acquired by France’s CMA CGM in 2018 and merged with MacAndrews; brand retired in 2023. Nearly a 60-year run for the Finnish name before CMA CGM folded it into its own short-sea network.
Main trade areas: North Europe, Baltic and Mediterranean.
How to track a Containerships container
Every Containerships box carries an ISO 6346 number: four letters (the owner prefix), six digits and a check digit. Containerships prefixes include CPEU. Enter the container number, the bill of lading or the booking reference and Navo24 detects which one it is.
The tracker joins Containerships's own events (gate out, loaded, departed, transhipped, discharged) with the vessel's AIS position, so you see where the box is now, not where it was at the last port call.
Containerships schedules, rates and free time
Before booking, compare sailings on your lane by transit time and real on-time reliability across all carriers, Containerships included where it publishes schedules.
For the price, FreightRatesMCP shows market rates for 20GP, 40GP and 40HC on a port pair. After arrival, demurrage and detention start once Containerships's free time runs out, and Navo24 counts the days left on every box.
